Yes: a wheelchair-accessible taxi in Evesham is available from Elite Trade & Rider Limited, booked in advance. One of our two vehicles is fitted for passengers who travel in their wheelchair, and it covers Evesham and the Vale villages for hospital appointments, station journeys and everyday trips. There is no extra charge for using it, and assistance dogs travel free of charge as well.
Evesham Community Hospital is the appointment most Evesham wheelchair users ask us about, and it is a short, familiar run from anywhere in town. Book the car for the appointment time on your letter, and tell us in the booking notes that you travel in your chair, so the accessible vehicle is the one that comes.
When the appointment sits further away, at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester or over in Cheltenham, the same arrangement holds, just with an earlier start. Return journeys can be left open-ended: many passengers book the outward trip and phone us when the clinic is finishing, although booking both legs at once is the safer pattern on busy days.
Evesham station is the other regular journey. A wheelchair user changing between train and road needs the two halves joined up, and a pre-booked accessible car waiting at the station does exactly that, in both directions. Give us the train time and we will be there for it.
Abbey Park, the riverside and the town centre shops are all step-free journeys by car from the villages, Badsey, Bretforton and Offenham included. Relatives visiting family in Evesham care settings also use the accessible vehicle, because the passenger never has to transfer out of their chair to travel.
The countywide picture is on our page for wheelchair-accessible transport in Worcestershire, and Evesham's other journeys are introduced on the Evesham town page. When the appointment is in the next town instead, the same vehicle works from Pershore: see wheelchair-accessible travel from Pershore.
